C&R believes that butterfly valves are the valves of the future because of following advantages that it has over other valves:
- Light-weight design resulting in lower cost and ease of handling
- Smaller face to face dimensions making it an economic choice especially for line sizes above 8" compared to other bulkier options like gate valves.
- Due to the relatively high coefficient of flow (Cv) and relatively low-pressure drop the pump size is minimised and system wears reduced compared to other low recovery valves like globe valves.
C & R's range of butterfly valves includes centre mounted hand lever and gear operated valves in both the lug and flanged end type. C & R also manufactures off centre mounted valves of the wafer, lug and flanged end type.
