C&R believes that butterfly valves are the valves of the future because of following advantages that it has over other valves:
C & R's range of butterfly valves includes centre mounted hand lever and gear operated valves in both the lug and flanged end type. C & R also manufactures off centre mounted valves of the wafer, lug and flanged end type.
General specifications of C & R butterfly Valves

- Light-weight design resulting in lower cost and ease of handling
- Smaller face to face dimensions making it an economic choice especially for line sizes above 8" compared to other bulkier options like gate valves.
- Due to relatively high coefficient of flow (Cv) and relatively low pressure drop the pump size is minimized and system wear reduced compared to other low recovery valves like globe valves.
